How it works

  • 1. Choose your dates

    Pick your dates in the calendar and pay a 50% deposit to secure them. You'll get a confirmation email straight away.

  • 2. Before you arrive

    The balance is charged automatically 7 days before your stay. The day before you arrive, we'll send directions, the gate code and your check-in details.

  • 3. Settle in

    Self check-in from 3pm. The fire's ready to light, the sauna's out the back, and the beach is about 30 seconds away. We're only a message away if you need anything.

  • Check-in 3pm onwards, self check-in with key safe

  • Check-out by 11am

  • Sleeps 4 adults, 2 queen bedrooms, 1 bathroom

  • Pets welcome, with no fence between the garden and the beach

  • Heating wood fire and heat pump, plus electric blankets

  • Parking on site

  • Rates start from $400 per night, with a minimum stay of 2 nights. The calendar above shows the exact price for your dates.

  • Yes, a little. Summer and school holidays are our busiest times and rates reflect that. Winter at the shack is just as good, with the fire going and the sauna warm.

  • You'll avoid platform service fees and deal with us directly from start to finish. It also helps us keep doing the little things our guests love.

  • A 50% deposit is taken when you book to secure your dates. The balance is charged automatically to the same card 7 days before you arrive, so there's nothing else you need to do.

  • You'll receive a confirmation email as soon as your booking goes through. If you can't see it, check your spam folder or get in touch.

  • Linen, towels, Millie Organics toiletries, a well-stocked kitchen, firewood, and a few local treats waiting when you arrive. There's also a picnic set, yoga mats, books, board games, bocce and Finska.

  • Yes, the shack has wifi.

  • We do. Get in touch before booking and we'll look after you.

  • Get in touch as early as you can and we'll do our best to move your booking to new dates, subject to availability.

“The Dune Shack was so lovely.

It was the most well-equipped Air BNB I have ever stayed at, nothing was missed. Beautifully decorated, very well thought out! The little things ie. the lovely toiletries, wine and the croissants, made such a difference. Great location, private and quiet & my hubby loved the sauna. Also, as a bonus we could take our little dog.
